About Us

Woodworking is in our DNA…

Founded in 2015, Gold Crest Builders actually began as a custom furniture building company in the Bay Area, CA, called “Gold Coast Woodworks.” With a desire to make heirloom-quality pieces using a combination of simple tools and human touch, Nick drew upon his 14 years of construction experience to build high-dollar handmade furniture pieces for various clients in California.

When Nick and his family moved to Idaho in 2016, Nick changed the name to “Gold Crest Woodworks,” signifying the relocation from beaches to mountains.

In 2020, Nick purchased an abandoned animal shelter with the intent to remodel it into a 3-bedroom home. This was when the company became “Gold Crest Builders.” Nick spent four years flipping and remodeling homes.

Professional Managerial Experience

In 2024, Nick was hired by Parmer Construction in Mena, AR, as a project manager. During his time with Parmer, Nick oversaw the construction of multiple homes. Nick interacted directly with homeowners, solved problems and worked tirelessly to get things over the finish line.

Expanding Handmade Craftsmanship into Home Building

Nick loved working at the senior level, cranking out home after home for Parmer. It was fast-paced and highly coordinated. However, Nick missed the ability he once had to work more closely and intentionally with a few homeowners at a time back when he remodeled homes just a few years earlier.

Armed with 21 years of construction experience, Nick got his Residential Builders license in 2025 and went out on his own to bring the same care and quality Gold Crest Builders offered. Nick is now licensed to build homes and is based in Mena, AR.
